Population at-risk-of poverty or exclusion in the EU

Twenty four percent of the EU population (119.6 million people) were at risk of poverty or social exclusion in 2011, according to Eurostat.

The lowest shares were recorded in the Netherlands and Sweden (both 16%), and Luxembourg and Austria (both 17%). The highest were in Bulgaria (49%), Romania and Latvia (both 40%).






The European Commission has published Employment and Social Developments in Europe 2012, the report is rich in datasets.
